Beautiful Morning Sunrise Walk with PArker

Southport (St James Marina) to Morehead City (Morehead City Yacht Basin)

Dredging ICW by Southport

Woke up early this morning to take Parker for a walk, the swim platform was all ice and Sandy fell.  Fortunately he was able to grab onto the dinghy and only one leg went in, soaking his sneaker.  He had just commented on the weather forecast being great and it would have been a good time to go outside.  By the time he came back from the walk, Rosemary had decided we would go outside. Time for a new plan.

I thought I would not be going outside until we went into the Chesapeake to take the boat to Deltaville but after Sandy said that this morning, I thought about it, We could do two days in one, not have to call the marines to see if they were going to do a live fire, and it puts us in a position on the Neuse River where the weather is supposed to be kinder.  Ok, we will go outside.  It was about a 7.5 hour day but worth it.  We arrived at Morehead City Yacht Basin in time to get fuel, and Sandy to wash the boat.

Mlitary exercises - several large and smaller
vessels - we were already far enough offshore
that we didn't have to alter course

Tucked in after long day

Sandy had a craving for pizza, so we took a short walk to get it.  Parker got to play ball, all in all, in was a good day.  Tomorrow we head to Dowry Creek Marina, a marina in Belhaven, NC.  We have not been to this particular marina before and are looking forward to seeing it.
