Saint Augustine to Daytona

This abandoned boat has a sail unfurled

St Augustine (Conch House Marina) to Daytona (Halifax Harbor)

That is a big dock house

Beautiful calm cold morning that will quickly warm up.  Unexpectedly early start, many sport fisherman and some commercial boats leave very early (4:00) and their wake combined with wake from the inlet make for some rolly conditions at the slip.  Two posts in a row that mention rolly means Rosemary is less than thrilled.

Beautiful day and easy ride, tomorrow we will be covering more miles, the first part will be slow.

Beautiful houses south of Palm Coast
Bike path between the docks and the houses

We didn't actually leave early as we had some visitors drop by who purchased a new boat exactly like ours.  They had many questions and were very nice.  They were down sizing and had bought the boat for them to travel to the Bahamas.  The thing about meeting people with Back coves would be a theme today.  We had dinner at a yacht club that was next door to where we were staying.   We were invited by our friends, the Munson's who were traveling with us again today.  10 for dinner, three who also owned Back Cove 41 and one couple who owned a new 37.  The dinner was hosted by Hal and Jackie Burroughs.  Everyone was very gracious and we had a very nice meal with new boating friends.
