Melbourne to Fort Pierce

We do love to see the dolphins

Melbourne (Melbourne Harbor) to Fort Pierce (Fort Pierce Municipal Marina)

Second Wave

We received a call late in the afternoon from the Municipal Marina we are headed to to confirm our intentions to get there today.  We had firmly told them we needed a floating dock here based on the recommendation of our friends who had stayed here last year.

Quick easy ride today.  About 1.5 mile stretch of Manatee zone.  Pleasant short ride.  We passed many beautiful houses on Barker Island near Indian River Shores.  Rosemary had to cut short a conversation with Gordon as we pulled in around 12:15.  We even got to play with the dolphins for a while .

Very large and spread out marina

The marina is huge and very nice.  The dock hands are very experienced and we are looking forward to our stay.  We have done laundry (again) and are wearing shorts for the second day!  There is supposed to be a farmers market Saturday mornings, well within our walking distance (tomorrow) that we will go to before we leave.

There are lots and lots of fish all around the boats here, always something to look at.  There are a lot of big beautiful boats here as well.  We have seen a few from our neck of the woods already.
