Ladys Island to Savannah

Ladys Island (Ladys Island Marina) to Savannah (Thunderbolt Marina)
We had 2 feet under the boat here, that buoy is on ground, not floating
Hilton Head to Daufuskie Ferry
We left Lady's Island at 11:20, we were able to go fast almost the whole time so it only took 3 hours to get to Thunderbolt Marina. A lot of it was in open water so just a tiny bit bumpier and Parker was looking for comfort. We think he might get 1/2 tranquilizer tomorrow as we have decided to go outside.
I told the gentleman working on the mast of the trawler he reminded me of Lt Dan from Forrest Gump, he asked me to text him the pic
A half a mile before our marina we passed Oasis. This is the exact same boat as ours, several serial numbers newer. The owners are the second owners. We met them last year in Vero beach when our paths crossed at a marina there. We saw them again last summer in Cape May at South Jersey Marina. We are both headed to Jekyll Island Marina next. They called on the radio and we traded texts. This led to us both deciding to go outside tomorrow to avoid low tide in shallow areas on the ICW. Forecast is great, fingers crossed.
Many amazing Yachts in Dry Dock
Just another amazing boat hauled for work
The boat on the right is a large sport fisherman That is a huge sailboat
The dockmaster here was not the same one we had last time who was very, very interesting. He told me that he had a heart attack and has been out for a month, coming back on Monday. He did smoke non stop so not really a surprise there. This guy was really laid back, we tied ourselves up, did our own fuel, and walked our boat to where he wanted us to dock for the night. Interesting.
Beautiful Oak trees
We stayed here on the way down last year. Huge commercial boat yard, the most massive boats and yachts being serviced here. The marina is definitely not the main feature here. The whole place is gated and there is a 24 hour guard who patrols because these boats are so valuable. Many very High end yachts get work done here - they have a very large dry dock facility
