Cocoa Village Marina to Vero Beach City Marina

Local rowing club
workout outdoors
local high school and middle school kids are very involved
4 8 man and 2 4 man (woman) schells out early

Bedtime!

We left the marina at 9:50 AM and were able to go 20 knots right away in the river.  You have to go fast when you can because you never know when you will have to slow for docks, smaller boats, manatee areas, etc.

Vero Yacht Club - Never know what you encounter

                                                              on the evening dog walk

Part way, Rosemary spotted a boat that she thought looked like ours, it started to follow us and we got a call on the radio.  It was our exact same boat being piloted by Karen and Ed Munson who we met later that day.  They were staying at the same marina as us, and we had a nice conversation about our boats and how we got them.  We also met another lovely lady, who was kayaking next to our boat with her dog.  She and her husband had recently got a Back Cove 34 outboard.  She was so kind she even offered us her car to get groceries.  If we were here for one more day I would have taken her up on that!

Vero Beach Sunset

We had a quiet night, walked Parker and ate in.  An early night, onto the next day.  Going to start going inland just bit, on our way to Lake Okeechobee.  We did catch a beautiful sunset on the boat.
