Due to a combination of weather (wind) and Osprey Marina not being available until 11/7  we extended our stay here at Homer Smith's.  Election Day today and North Carolina is an important piece of the Senate Race as well as for the President.  The Democrats were poised to take a senate seat from the Republican incumbent.  A sex scandal for the Democrat has narrowed the race in a state with a large military presence.  The challenger was caught cheating on his wife with the wife of a currently serving combat soldier.  Doesn't play well pretty much anywhere but especially here.

We started this crazy election day by watching the first half of Tom Hanks Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood.  Seemed fitting, will finish later tonight thanks to very good wifi and Hugh's generous library on Plex.

We took the loaner car to the supermarket and have ridden our bikes around town.  Monday was much too windy to ride bikes or be out on the boat.  Today would have been an excellent day to travel but we might as well stay in a great town while waiting for Osprey Marina to have our long term slip available.  We still have to hear back from the next stop before our plans are completely finalized.  May have to look at other options if we don't hear soon.
